"We are pleased to support 'Valiants against Racism' in their work to raise awareness of discrimination. Port Vale does not accept discrimination of any kind - whether that be racism, sexism based or in any other form of bigotry." Gareth Owen, Port Vale FC

The recent re-launch of the Valiants Against Racism website and the appointment of Gareth Owen as Port Vale's Kick It out Ambassador for the season gives us all an opportunity to come together to combat and challenge racism, prejudice and discrimination in all its forms.

Dominic Meir of Valliants against rcism/Vale Park Initiative and the "Game On" project said:

"With the work that we do under the umbrella of VAR, we are very much aware of the racism and prejudice that young people can be exposed to, within the community but also sadly within football grounds following the club that they love.

This is something that we discover with the Game On project on a regular basis and strive to challenge these views that many young fans experience. However, in Game On we know that we all have the capacity to change.

If anyone hears any racism or bigotry in the stands, then they have the power to report it and not to accept it. Combating racism and prejudice is not just confined to a week of action in October but has to be acted upon daily.

I know many supporters do speak out against it, let's hope that the decent majority of fans find their voice with them."

VAR, Reveal Theatre and the "Game On" Partners are proud of it's support from Port Vale FC and it's supporters who are critical to the successof combating views on race/religion and difference that can divide our communities and making VAR a success.
