Media Officer Vacancy
  • To raise the reputation and awareness of Port Vale Football Club through the club's media channels, including the official website, social media, match day programme and other publications
  • To implement and manage day-to-day work on the club's website, including Valiant Player
  • Maximise overall positive PR for Port Vale Football Club.
  • To work closely with other parts of Port Vale Football Club and key external partners to ensure that messages are communicated effectively
  • To create new, creative and interesting video footage for Valiant Player increasing awareness and the number of subscriptions.
  • Manage the club's twice-weekly press conferences and other key events
  • Interview first-team players and coaching staff
  • Write regular articles including pre and post match reports

 

Person Specification

  • Relevant qualification in journalism / PR
  • Excellent copy writing skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent media relations skills - the ability to create relevant media stories
  • Understanding of how the media works
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Able to take initiative and drive projects individually and with a team
  • Full driving license
  • Previous experience of working in a professional sporting environment would be advantageous

Match Day Kiosk and Bar Staff Required

Port Vale are currently seeking casual hospitality staff to work on match days, serving on bars and kiosks around the ground.

Lottery Department

Collectors are required in the following areas:

Ball Green, Norton, Sneyd Green, Abbey Hulton and Tunstall.

On a round of roughly 70 houses to collect the lottery money, you would receive £10.50 commission and get a free match ticket - for approximately two hours of work.

(The lottery runs 52 weeks a year.) - Hours to suit.

Cash is either collected from your home, or to be brought into the Port Vale club shop.

All proceeds go to the youth department.
