Directions: Take M6 (N) to J 34 and take the A683 signposted Lancaster, join the A589 (Morecambe), go straight across 2 roundabouts and at the 3rd roundabout take the 2nd exit into Lancaster Road. The ground is down on the left.
Where to park: There is a small car park behind the away end otherwise there is plenty of street car parking.
Overview of Christie Park: The ground has covered sections on 3 sides of the ground.
The Main Stand is rather old fashioned looking and runs along half the length of one side, straddling the half way line. The seating area is above the pitch so is accessed by a short set of stairs. At each end of the stand are wind shields to protect fans from the so called sea breezes!!
Opposite is a small uncovered terrace, known as the "Car Wash Terrace"- nothing to do with the sea breezes, more to do with the car wash situated behind it.
At each end are covered terraces (with wind shields) the larger being the North Stand, the other being the Umbro Stand.
Where the Valiants will be housed: Away fans are housed in the Umbro Stand, a covered terrace behind a goal holding 1,500 fans, but a limited number of seats will be available in the Main Stand. On our last visit the stewards were insistent that fans sat in the correct seat despite some very restricted views of the pitch from certain seats.
where to eat: A burger van serves the away end, and the noted Christie Park pies should be on sale. Alternatively there is a handy fish and chip shop near the entrance to the car park.
WHERE TO DRINK: The York Hotel on Lancaster Road is about 10 minutes walk away going towards the town centre, serves food and Everards Real Ale.
