VALE RESERVES GO NAP AT WALSALL

Walsall Reserves 1 Port Vale Reserves 5
Vale reserves chalked up their first victory of the season thanks to a strong second half performance that produced four goals in a remarkable fifteen-minute spell.
Walsall took the lead though in the 24th minute. A shot by Grigg produced a good save from Joe Anyon but the loose ball was knocked back into the middle by the same player and Nicholls had the simple task of knocking the ball over the line from two yards.
Vale then came more into the game and James Beeston had a shot from the left hand side deflected on to the top of the crossbar for a corner.
Two minutes before the break we finally equalised. Grigg broke free in the Vale box but a good tackle by Ross Davidson sent the ball to Anyon and his huge clearance was knocked on to leave Anthony Malbon in acres of room and he finished in fine style.
After the break Vale started to dominate proceedings. A move down the left in the 69th minute was knocked on by Richman to Dave Howland and he side-stepped a couple of challenges before hitting a fine cross shot into the far corner of the net to put us 2-1 in front.
Sam Morsy had a shot blocked on the line as Vale took control and in the 72nd minute it was 3-1. A deep cross from the left by James Beeston found Danny Glover in space and he comfortably drove it home.
Things got even better in the 78th minute when a back pass to the Saddlers 'keeper was miskicked straight to Danny Glover and he easily rounded the struggling goalkeeper to make it 4-1. It was all Vale now and a Richman header was palmed away by the goalkeeper with Glover's blistering follow up shot blocked on the line denying him a hat trick.
Six minutes from time the scoring was completed when Andrew Odei-Siribour headed a cross from the left by Glover into the net. A quite stunning last twenty minutes.
