Vale travel to West Yorkshire to take on Peter Taylor's BradfordCity at Valley Parade on Saturday afternoon hoping to take full advantage of the Bantams' shaky start to the season.

Bradford have lost three of their opening four League fixtures and were beaten at home last time out by Southend, who Vale beat fairly comfortably the previous weekend.

Taylor told the Telegraph & Argus: "We've got 11,000 people watching us, which is brilliant for the club.

"I'm sure that's why we've got certain people here because they wanted to play in front of a crowd like that. Now it's up to the players to handle that.

"I'm not going to feel sorry for them that they are under pressure. They've got to deal with that."

Vale boss Micky Adams certainly won't be too concerned over any problems Bradford may or may not have - he will be looking to take the three points, but will also show enough respect to avoid an unnecessary over-confidence.

The Vale boss won't be taking anything for granted and is expecting a tough game, but with Vale's two league wins out of two away from home so far, Vale will certainly not be daunted by the prospect of playing in front of a large crowd.

Vale defender Gareth Owen is looking forward to the game. Sporting a black eye picked up in last week's home defeat to Torquay United, he says Vale need to match the performance at Bury on the opening day of the season.

He said: "They've signed some decent players and it is always a tough place to go. They have got a fantastic manager in Peter Taylor, whose C.V. stacks up against anybody's in this league.

"We are under no illusions, because looking at the table, everybody is beating everybody in this league. If you look at the results that come every Saturday, they raise a few eyebrows because you don't know what is going to happen.

"We know it is going to be a tough game, but we fear anybody. All we need to concentrate on is ourselves. If we turn up and play well like we did against Bury we will win the match."
