After attending the pre-season friendly matches the Volunteers' Group members were very impressed with the quality of the proposed loan players.

The Group felt that they would like to show their support to Micky Adams by offering a donation towards the sponsorship of Kris Taylor - a very wise investment as proved by the Sheffield Wednesday game.

Donations to the club from the Volunteers' Group are normally capped at £500 for any one project, but on this one occasion the Group felt strongly enough to make an exception to their constitution and contribute £5,000 from their funds.
