STRIKER RARING TO GO

Posted on: Thu 01 Jul 2010

New signing Justin Richards joined his new team mates for pre-season training today and admitted it had been tough, but the 29-year-old striker had no complaints.

He said: "In all honesty, if you are looking for an easy ride you are in the wrong game, but that goes without saying as far as I am concerned.

"I hardly know any of the lads, but they have already taken me in and accepted me, so hopefully that will continue.

"Every game is different, but I will approach each game the same, I will try to get in the box, score goals and cause problems for defenders.

"Getting off to a good start is always going to help. The lads all know each other and they seem like quite a talented bunch, so that will help.

"I think the league will be a bit more competitive this season and we certainly won't be going into any game thinking it is going to be easy.

"But we will all know our strengths and our weaknesses by the time the season starts and hopefully that will see us through. I have set myself a goal target, but will be keeping that to myself."
