THEY'RE BACK
It was 'back to work' for the Vale squad this morning as the players returned to the club for pre-season training, and they were putt hrough their paces at Hanley Forest Park by new boss Micky Adams.
The lads were put through a tough session, watched by a handful of Vale supporters, with Mark Grew and new youth coach Mike Ede helping out the new Vale boss.
The manager is keen to get to know all of his players and insists they are making sure everybody is fighting fit come August 8th.
The lads play their first pre-season friendly a week on Saturday (12th July - 12.00 noon kick off) when they take on Biddulph Vics at their Tunstall Road ground.
Micky Adams said: "Pre-season is a learning process for us all. I will certainly learn about the players and what they are capable of doing and my aim is that everybody will be available for the opening day of the season on August 8th."
