DEFENDER LEAVES
Defender Justin Miller is to leave ValePark after having his contract paid up by the club.
The right-back who arrived from Leyton Orient in the summer hasn't been a regular feature in the side since December.
He was placed on the transfer list in January but with no strong offers.
In an exclusive interview with Dave Johnson he said:
Time to move on:
"Yeah definitely. I want to play football; I'm not playing football here that's what made my mind up. There's no point in staying really, I'm not getting a look in. So time to move on."
Have you enjoyed your time at ValePark:
"Football is good when you are playing week in, week out. I haven't disliked my time here. Good bunch of loads and everything that's always been good. But I want to play football, soon the football side no, it's not been good. "
Football is your profession so you want to be playing week in, week out if possible:
"When you are not involved you get frustrated. Football is a matter of opinions, some people thin you should, and some people think you don't. In my opinion I think I should. It's frustrating that I'm not. I just make sure I get my head down, find myself a new club and make next season a better one to make up for this one."
You've been thinking it over for some time, how has it all come about:
"I went to the chairman and just asked him if I could be released. I don't really see the point in coming into training every day and the rest of it, it's not really getting me anywhere. So I'll be free now and it will be nice to get home and see the family for a bit longer than I would if I stayed here and come back next season. It gives me a chance to get my head down and sort myself out a new club."
What are you plans:
"That will be my agent's job; I'll leave that to him. I'm going to go home and see the family, I only get to do it once a year so I'll go and do that and leave the rest to my agent. I'll probably speak to him and come back because I've got a few friends' weddings and that to go to in the summer so I'll be back for them. So I'll speak to him when I get back."
Where do you see you future:
"Totally up in the air at the moment. People say to me you shouldn't move until you find yourself a new club. It won't make any difference to me really; I'm still going to be looking for a new club. I'm pretty confident I'll find somewhere, when I do I'll just make sure I do well. "
A message to supporters:
"Just a bit disappointed they didn't get to see more of me. I thought I was doing alright. I was looking forward to it; it just didn't quite work out for me. Just disappointed I couldn't play more in front of them, done well and had a bigger part to play this season. The fans have been great to me; I haven't got anything bad to say about them. It's been a frustrating season for them, as it has for me. "
"The chairman has been excellent to me. I wish the club all the best for next year, I hope they do well because it's what they deserve, especially the fans - they deserve a bit of good fortune, some highs as this season has seen a lot of lows for them. I just say to supporters, stick in there, hopefully things will turn round. Football is a funny game, one minute you are up, the next you are not. Things turn around so quickly."
Miller hasn't been a major feature in Sinnott's plans since his arrival he said that it's nothing personal towards the player.
Lee Sinnott "He's got a year left on his contract, but we've come to an agreement with Justin for the remainder of his contract. He will be leaving shortly. There's going to be change at this football club and we wish him all the best.
"We had a conversation with Justin and I think it suits both parties. Sometimes things don't' work right in football. People aren't' malicious in that aspect, as the manager I have the decision to make about the way forward and the future. Justin has to look after his career as well. Sometimes it's better to part the ways, but from my point of view it's an amicable one "
