BETTING

Posted on: Thu 22 Nov 2007

England may have crashed out of the European Championship but it wasn't all doom and gloom for punters at bet365.

When it comes to betting on the national team, it often pays to bet with your head not your heart and some shrewd punters were rewarded with a whopping 7/1 on Croatia. Some even managed to predict the score at a massive 66/1!

In bet365's first goalscorer market, most bets were on Peter Crouch at 5/1, but Niko Kranjcar had his supporters too at 20/1. Not to mention those punters who backed Croatia when the score was 2-2!

When it comes to betting on the weekend game, you've got a headstart on the bookmakers. They won't admit it, but you probably know more than them - can you find the value in Vale's weekend match markets?

For starters, Vale are 8/5 to take all three points and 28/1 to 'do a Croatia' and win 3-2. We'll let you be the judge of whether that's good value?
