Richard Duffy had put the Valiants ahead in the first half at Glanford Park and the visitors looked full value for three important points.

But a last gasp Kyle Wootton goal for the Iron meant Vale were forced to settle for a draw which leaves them three points above the Sky Bet League One drop zone.

Speaking to Valiant Player after the contest, 40-year-old Page was disappointed at the result but insisted everyone should remain upbeat.

“I don’t want any negative attitudes, I don’t want a defeatist mentality, I want us to be nice and positive,” he said.

“They’re disappointed, they’re absolutely gutted in there, they’re angry and rightly so and there’s been a few words said.

“What we do now is try and flip it and take the positives out of it.”
