Rob Page Aiming To Maintain Winning Mentality

6 October 2015

Port Vale boss Rob Page feels tonight’s clash with Blackpool is a chance to keep his side’s current momentum going.

The Valiants host Neil McDonald’s Seasiders at Vale Park this evening, kick-off 7.45pm, in the second round of the competition.

Victories over Fleetwood Town and Sheffield United, which sandwiched a draw with Oldham Athletic, mean Vale head into the cup-tie in good form.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, the manager said it’s important his players keep their current winning mentality.

“That’s the big word – momentum,” he commented. “When you’re trying to create a winning mentality and a winning feeling why gamble it and risk losing it?

“We’re confident from the last couple of results and we want to go in and win the game so that’s what we’ll be aiming to do.”
