Port Vale can confirm that Nathan Smith has joined National League side Torquay United on a three-month loan.
The 19-year-old, who enjoyed a spell at Stafford Rangers last season, will gain valuable first team experience at Plainmoor under manager Paul Cox.
Manager Rob Page commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Nathan to go out and develop and hone his skills in a competitive environment.
“We see a lot of potential in him and he is certainly someone we’re excited about for the future so this is a beneficial move for all parties involved.”
