Vale record a third victory in five days as they hit five again

Vale continued their good pre-season run with a third win, and for the second consecutive helped themselves to five goals on the way to victory.

Whilst Vale didn’t have everything all their own way, they again had the majority of possession and at times were camped deep inside the Kidsgrove half of the pitch.

Colin Danielswas again on the mark, hitting a tenth minute opener after receiving the ball to feet inside the box from strike partner Achille Campion.

Vale almost gave a goal away when a wayward back-pass from McGivern almost caught out Sam Johnson, but the Vale ‘keeper managed to scramble back and knock the ball off his goal-line.

Rob Page made two changes at the start of the second half, putting on Ajay Leitch-Smith and Louis Dodds and resting Achille Campion and Colin Daniels.
