Port Vale winger Matty Kennedy wasn’t surprised by Sam Kelly’s stunning equaliser against Coventry City on Sunday.
The Cardiff City loanee played the full 90 minutes against the Sky Blues and was on the pitch when his teammate fired the ball into the top corner to earn the Valiants a point.
The pair played together at Everton and Kennedy told Valiant PlayerHD that he thinks Kelly can be a game changer on a regular basis.
“I was with Sam at Everton and he showed the ability there as well and he’s capable of doing that week-in, week-out,” he said. “It’s probably goal of the season but he’s deserved it.”
