Bruno Ribeiro Previews Derby County

30 August 2016

Tonight will mark the first game in the newly revamped Checkatrade Trophy, as Vale entertain Derby County at Vale Park.

The Valiants come into the game on the back of a 3-1 win against Scunthorpe United this past weekend, which continued their 100% record at home.

The game will see Derby, who are one of the category one side, travel to Vale with their under-23 side.

Manager, Bruno Ribeiro is looking forward to the competition, but insists there may be a few changes to the side.

He said: “It’s a different cup competition and maybe we will change five or six players from the Scunthorpe game, because some are very tired.

“These changes give others an opportunity to the other players who haven’t been playing.

“We will see on Tuesday how the players are and we have two hard games now; Derby and Bury and we need to prepare two good teams for these two difficult games.”
