Vale Defender Joins Non-League Side
Port Vale youngster Nathan Smith has joined Stafford Rangers on loan.
The defender, who is a product of the Valiants’ academy, has signed a one-month deal with the Marston Road outfit.
Semi-professional side Rangers currently play in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier League First Division South.
Vale interim manager Rob Page believes the deal gives Smith the perfect opportunity to get some first team football under his belt.
He said: “This is a good move for Nathan because it gives him the chance to go away and get some really valuable experience.
“I’m sure he will come back in a month’s time having learnt a lot with Stafford Rangers.”
