Port Vale are delighted to announce the capture of French centre forward Achille Campion on a loan deal from Swedish Division One side Norrby IF. The deal is subject to international clearance.
Achille is a strong target man, who is good at holding up the ball, can finish well when given the opportunity, and due to his size is also an aerial threat.
He spent the latter part of last season in Sweden playing for Norrby IF and helped the team to achieve promotion from Division Two.
He has been on trial with a number of clubs over the summer, including Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town, Yeovil Town and Bradford City. During his trial with Bradford he scored a hat trick while playing in a friendly against Bradford Park Avenue.
The 23 year-old started his career as a youngster at USL Dunkerque where he captained their under-18s during theGambardella Cup.He spent the end of last season playing in Sweden with Norrby IF after enjoying a spell playing in the USA while studying Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
