GOALS 4 HEARTS

23 April 2014

Defibs Save Lives!

Goals 4 Hearts are an organisation whose aim is to raise funds in order to get lifesaving defibrillators to all amateur football teams across the UK for all ages and all genders. It is also their aim to get them into schools too!

The organisation contacted Vale midfielder Anthony Griffith recently to ask for his help, after a colleague, Lee Orton, aged just 30 collapsed on the pitch when playing his most loved sport.

They are looking for all the support they can get and through ‘Griff’, they have arranged to collect at the ground before our match against Sheffield United.

DID YOU KNOW?

Sudden cardiac arrests (SCA) claims more lives than Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer and Aids combined every year.

CPR only saves the lives of 9% who suffer SCA. CPR when used alongside a defibrillator massively increases the survival rate from 9% to 50%

If you spot them with their collection buckets around the stadium, please give generously.
