Vale await further news
Vale are still awaiting scan results to see the extent of Jack Grimmer’s injury after the young defender was stretchered off during the home defeat to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
It is looking like it isn’t quite as bad as was first feared, but until the results of the scan are known everybody is pretty much in the dark.
Mark Grew said: “Jack has had to have a scan on his leg yesterday and we are waiting for the results, but I would think he is very, very doubtful for the Wolves game on Saturday.
“Ligaments are never quick healing and he was sore this morning on the bed and I don’t think we will come into consideration for Saturday at this present time.”
